With employees across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, Core Molding Technologies faced a significant challenge. For its growing staff in Mexico, the HR team had to manually enter new hire and employee update data into both ADP Workforce Now® and TRESS, Mexico’s standard payroll system for the manufacturing industry.

The team wanted to automate its data workflows by integrating ADP Workforce Now with TRESS, the payroll system the company has been using successfully for years.

Integration Solution

The HR team chose ADP API Central Integration with Flexspring for a custom solution to eliminate manual double-data entry between ADP and TRESS, a legacy system that works best for their Mexico operations.

Flexspring built an integration that pushes new hire and employee updates from ADP Workforce Now into TRESS, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records. With this new setup, HR no longer re-enters the same information twice. Flexspring’s consultants created custom field mapping aligned to TRESS’ Mexico payroll requirements, initiated automated data sweeps to run four times a day, and provided webhook capability to handle ad hoc changes.

The integration also supports the company’s growth, since the automated sweeps can handle a high volume of new hire data and current employee status updates. Additionally, webhook requests let the HR and payroll teams send urgent updates beyond scheduled sweeps, providing flexibility when unexpected changes occur. Manual double-data entry is no longer required, freeing up the HR staff to focus on higher-value work. Employee records now remain consistent between ADP and TRESS because data transfers occur automatically several times a day.
